The SHOGUN Family Crest Model

 

We produce the YAMAHA piano with the Japanese SHOGUN and Warlords family crest.
This model is based on the refurbished YAMAHA piano, not on the brand new piano.
The SHOGUN and Warlords family crest is made by KYOTO traditional handicraft, Maki-e.
Maki-e is a lacquerware decoration technique in which designs are drawn in lacquer and then sprinkled with gold, silver or other metal powders while the lacquer is still wet.
It has a 1,200 year history.
We can make crests of various Warlords… Nobunaga Oda, Kiyomasa Kato, Shingen Takeda, Masamune Date, Hideyoshi Toyotomi, Kenshin Uesugi and so on.
We make SHOGUN and Warlord’s family crests, put it on a refurbished YAMAHA piano and export it.
Our business is B to B.

We make a resin base using a 3D printer and apply Maki-e to it.

 

KYOTO traditional handicraft, Maki-e

Since the 8th century, Maki-e has been refined by many craftsmen in KYOTO and has become a delicate and elegant traditional craft that represents Japan.
We have started to produce a piano “SHOGUN and Warlords Model” with a family crest in the KYOTO traditional handicraft technique by Mr. Kenji Omachi, a lacquer craftsman mainly working in KYOTO.

We used a 3D printer to model the resin base and produced the Tokugawa family crest as a sample.
Resin is less sensitive to temperature and humidity, which prevents warping and cracking.
Gold powder was sprinkled on the lacquered base, dried and then powder-polished, and the fine lines of the leaf veins were further refined by line drawing with lacquer.
